Snow Cap claim, Rush Creek, Fresno Co., California, United States

Red plates of Gillespite in a vein 6mm wide which seems to grade into Pellyite. This is an unreported locality of Robert Walstrom's. It is unclear if he owned the claim. Gillespite is actually a rare mineral in California barium silicate deposits. However, it is rather common worldwide. The best specimens came out in 1961. Associated is some Krauskopfite and Titantaramellite.
